Connecting TranscriptX to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant

TranscriptX exposes tools through MCP so a compatible AI assistant can transcribe public links, inspect sampled video frames and find creator uploads.

1. Open https://transcriptx.xyz/account/mcp/guide and choose your AI client. Follow its current setup instructions.

2. Sign in to TranscriptX and manage tokens at https://transcriptx.xyz/account/mcp.

3. Add the server and authenticate as the guide for your client describes. Treat the token as a password: it grants access to your TranscriptX account and credits.

4. Ask the assistant to check your account status, then transcribe a public media URL.

If the connection fails, confirm the server URL, the client transport and whether your token is still active. If a token has been exposed, revoke it in the account page and create a replacement. Never paste it into support chat, feedback posts or screenshots.

If the tools connect but a video fails, the source may be private, restricted or temporarily blocked. MCP cannot bypass source access restrictions. These tools accept public URLs, not local file uploads.
