Understanding credits and failed transcriptions
Check your balance and distinguish credit refunds from subscription refunds.

On a metered TranscriptX account, a normal transcription uses one credit. In MCP, watch_url uses two credits, and creator discovery uses one credit per started group of five returned videos. Check your account balance before bulk work.
What happens when a web transcription fails?
Service-side failures, such as a network or upstream processing failure, are normally credited back automatically. A request classified as a source or input problem, such as an inaccessible or unsupported video, may keep the credit; the result explicitly tells you when this happens.
The free language correction is available once per successful transcript. Its attempt does not deduct another credit.
If your balance appears wrong, refresh the page and contact support with the request reference number, approximate time and the error you saw. Do not send payment-card details, passwords or API tokens. We need to inspect the request before confirming any adjustment.
A transcription credit refund is different from a subscription payment refund. Read the current policy at https://transcriptx.xyz/pricing#refund-policy. This article does not promise a payment refund or change your subscription.
