Fixing a transcript in the wrong language

Use the free language correction on a successful transcript.

If the words are garbled or in a different language from the recording, automatic language detection may have chosen incorrectly.

On the result card, find the language correction controls. Choose the language actually spoken in the recording and select Retry free. This correction does not use another credit.

Each successful transcript permits one language retry attempt. A failed retry also uses that attempt. Retrying does not guarantee an accurate result when the audio is noisy, silent or contains overlapping speech.

For future transcriptions, select the correct spoken language before starting. This sets the transcription language; it is not a request to translate the recording into another language.

Using an AI assistant through MCP? Ask it to correct the transcript language using the original log ID and the intended language. The retry_transcript_language tool requires a supported two-letter language code.

If the correction is still wrong, contact help@transcriptx.xyz with the reference number and the language you expected. Do not send your MCP token. A new transcription is a separate request and may use another credit.
