Transcribing a video saved on your phone or computer
TranscriptX accepts public links, not direct file uploads.

TranscriptX currently accepts video and audio URLs. There is no direct upload button for a file saved on your phone or computer.
If the video is already on a supported public site, open the video, use Share → Copy link, and paste that link at https://transcriptx.xyz/.
For your own recording, you can use a publicly accessible file link from a supported host. Only share a recording if you have permission, and do not make confidential recordings public. A link that requires signing in or requesting access cannot be fetched by TranscriptX.
For Google Drive, use the individual file link containing /file/d/, not a folder link containing /drive/folders/. Check the link in a private browser window while signed out. Public access is necessary, but retrieval can still fail because of host restrictions or file limits.

If you cannot share the recording safely, direct local upload is not currently supported. You can request that feature at https://attentionfactory.featurebase.app/. For help, email help@transcriptx.xyz without attaching confidential recordings or credentials.
